Above: John McArthur and his wife Christina Anderson McArthur. The tall boy in the back is Willie Stockton, a nephew they brought up in Dumbarton as a son. The girl standing on the left is Kate's mother, Christina McAlpine McArthur, age 4. The baby is Margaret Anderson McArthur age about 10 months.The smallest girl is Jean McKinney McArthur around age two. The middle boy is Charles McArthur age about 7. Taken around 1895. Below: The same McArthur family around 1901. Willie Stockton is not in the picture (he is in New Zealand at this point). The girls are the same except 3 years older.
